POSITION TITLE: Information Technology (IT) Manager
LOCATION: Department of Tribal Operations – Information Technology Division
POSITION TYPE: Exempt / Full-Time
SALARY RANGE: $54,133.80 - $81,200.70 Annually
REPORTS TO: Director of Tribal Operations

POSITION SUMMARY: The IT Manager is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the information technology and systems infrastructure for effective and efficient end user utility. The Manager maintains a fully redundant, secure, robust and integrated information technology environment. Duties include but are not limited to: responsible for overseeing and providing leadership and direction in all areas of information technology planning, architecture, standards, documentation, deployment, capital investments, and day-to-day operations; responsible for budget development and maintenance; responsible for development and maintenance of data recovery plan; responsible for managing workforce computing device inventory and coordinates replacement and upgrades of related software and hardware; evaluates IT vendors and proposed IT solutions and develops effective working relationships with selected vendors; analyzes IT Help Desk data and produces required narrative and statistical reports; provides direction & recommendations of current & future IT security needs; develops training plans for subordinate staff to ensure current IT standards and practices are employed; conducts research as needed for the development and implementation of YDSP IT platforms; contributes to grant funding opportunities by creating scopes of work for IT improvements; maintains and enforces IT Policies and Procedures; reviews layout designs for new construction/remodeling projects and provides technical specifications for IT special systems installs; key partner in Pueblo’s Emergency Management Plan and infrastructure; other position related duties as required and assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or a related field; Microsoft and Networking technical certifications; a minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting Networks, Windows servers, and LAN/WAN environments; at least 3 years in an IT management or supervisory role; hands-on experience supporting Microsoft SQL database applications and server virtualization are essential; must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable; must be able to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and criminal history background investigation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Experience with Voice over IP mechanics and systems; knowledgeable with Microsoft Exchange, and Disaster Recovery; experience with remote access and VPN set up required; ability to shift work schedules to accommodate business need; must be able to direct personnel, provide instruction, and complete multi tasked goals; must be able to effectively communicate and coordinate internally with company management, users of varying abilities; as well as externally with vendors and service providers; must remain current with new technology and software developments for purposes of maintaining adequate and functional IT system; must be able to develop strategic IT plans; must be able to occasionally travel for business functions.
