ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with sales, brand building experience, and a proven track record of building relationships in the local market. This individual should have excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and objection handling skills. 


The Washington Key Account Manager / Team leader is accountable for driving sales, communicating with buyers and inspiring their sales team to drive success in the market. This individual should be result oriented and capable of focusing on sales goals and initiatives, profitability, marketing, and growing brand sales within the marketplace. This position will be based out of the Tukwila office and will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales.

THE DAY-TO DAY

  • Develop new business relationships with decision makers while identifying potential customers and developing a business plan to reach them.
  • Establish working relationships with key accounts in the territory. 
  • Ensure execution of the developed sales strategies, objectives, goals, and targeted revenue generation by partnering with restaurants and key retailers in the specified market.
  • Promote and increase brand awareness through brand visibility and conducting staff trainings/ education programs. 
  • Assist and participate in trade and consumer events.
  • Meet annual depletion, shipment, profit, and performance goals.
  • Prioritize coaching and performance management efforts to have the greatest overall impact on the business.
  • Operate with drive, motivation, and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities are captured and explored.

Supervising 

  • Training all personnel in accordance with our company’s policies and procedures through the on-boarding process
  • Working with assigned personnel to establish sales programs, strategies and developmental performance objectives
  • Providing leadership, guidance, mentoring, and support needed to attain the commitment and motivation of all assigned personnel
  • Conducting meetings as needed to effectively communicate objectives, programs, strategies, policies and procedures to assigned personnel
  • Ensuring that assigned personnel adhere to the federal, state and local laws and regulations governing the sale of alcoholic beverage products
  • Attracting, developing and empowering a diverse employee base
  • Organizing assigned personnel schedules, while concentrating on specific channel and account KPI’s

 

AM I THE RIGHT FIT? 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales management experience and history of mentoring
  • Experience selling domestic and international fine and luxury wines
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with alcohol sales 
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable means of transportation 
  • Experience working with a Wine & Spirits Distributor 
  • Brand building and outside sales experience is preferred
  • Persuasive public speaking and presentation skills and the ability to close deals
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT a must); experience using Diver is preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule 
  • CSW certification or ability to obtain preferred
