Job Description

About Young Invincibles:

Young Invincibles (“YI”) is a non-profit, non-partisan advocacy organization working to expand economic opportunity for young people ages 18 to 34 and to amplify their voices in the political conversation and policy arena. Founded by and for young adults in the summer of 2009 during the debate over health care reform, YI has quickly grown into a leading voice for young people on the issues of health care, higher education, pathways to jobs/workforce and civic engagement. The organization has achieved major successes in expanding access to health coverage and lowering the cost of higher education and has successfully engaged and activated thousands of young adults. In our regional offices (California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Texas) we have continued our mission -- expanded access to Medicaid in California for undocumented children and young adults, improved access to mental health services in college campuses in Illinois and Colorado, and fought for Medicaid expansion in Texas.

We are deeply committed to health equity, and have been embarking upon a targeted COVID vaccine outreach and education campaign in an effort to ensure young adults - particularly young adults who are likely to face systemic access issues hindering vaccination - are connected to critical and trusted information about the vaccine so that every young person can get vaccinated. We are significantly scaling up these efforts, and are building out a team to execute a comprehensive public education campaign - with a focus in YI states.
