REMOTE POSITION
We are searching for a bright and communicative team member who is proactive and passionate about LGBTQ+ sport advocacy and our partners we serve. Our Education & Programs Team will lead the development, rollout and expansion of our education and engagement programs, always striving to find opportunities to generate more interaction and stronger partnerships. To succeed in this position, our new team member should have exceptional communication, education development, and expert knowledge of the latest trends in coach and athlete education. The position is contract, remote and reports to the You Can Play National Office and COO.
Education (Sport Education Based, Educating Coaches, Referees, Athletes, Administrators, Parents & Fans)
- Actively engage with partners to gain perfect understanding of their individualized needs and operations around education and outreach programs, and develop each solution
- Act as the point of contact for You Can Play education and engagement programs.
- Evaluate YCP’s current education programs and develop comprehensive plan for a full education program, staff and educators needed, rollout and evaluation for effect.
- Lead the development of You Can Play’s Coach, Referee, Athlete, Administrator & Parent education programs and modules, including online and in-person programs.
- Identify, recruit, train and utilize corps of educators and trainers to facilitate You Can Play education programs
- Work with national, state and provincial sport organization's education teams to understand needs and identify opportunities for partnership.
- Identify and employ trends and technology in sport and inclusivity education, specifically in coach and athlete education methods
- Review comprehensive education plan annually to drive improvement for future.
Engagement Programs:
- Evaluate YCP’s outreach and engagement programs for effect and develop comprehensive outreach program plans, including ambassador engagement program.
- Lead the development and operation of volunteer/ambassador engagement program
- Develop Material and Resources for partners, including playbooks, presentations, resource packets, etc.
- Support YCP social media with content and ideas around education and programs
Qualifications:
- Coach/Referee Education program development experience (preferred) 4+yrs
- Curriculum writing, online course development (helpful) 2+ yrs
- Program and operations experience (helpful)
- Inclusion or Sport Resource development (preferred)
