York Repair, an established company in Bay City, MI, is looking to hire a full-time outside sales person who is excited about servicing customers, selling, and working hard to grow not only personally but the organization they work for as well. This individual focuses on growth within both assigned accounts and prospective customers. Identifies and qualifies customers through pre-arranged sales calls that are primarily face-to-face. Researches the customer’s needs prior to the call and utilizes this information to increase customer satisfaction and profit margins. Sets aside time and puts in the effort to develop and maintain these relationships to promote customer loyalty. Effectively understands and communicates the full scope of York’s services to the customer, and continually looks for ways to improve the daily operations at York.
Makes several face-to-face sales calls on a daily basis to both assigned accounts and prospective customers.
Completes all documentation in full and submits to management staff.
Understands, budgets, and documents all expenses.
Records and follows-up on all customer complaints.
Helps to ensure that completed work from their account meets York Quality System requirements.
Mainly travels within a geographical region of Michigan; overnight and/or weekend commitments are rare.
Valid driver’s license.
Must have a clean driving record for insurance purposes.
Qualifications: Preferred education: a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university, ideally within business/sales. Minimum education: high school diploma and at least 4-5 years of sales experience. Other key skills include:
Ability to work as a team member.
Manages time well and efficiently delegates responsibilities.
Sales negotiation skills and contract knowledge.
Friendly, business-like telephone manner and strong communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Point, etc.).
