Yolo Industries is seeking a dynamic leader who can build and oversee day to day operations of our vertically integrated cannabis company. This is an exciting time to join our Company as we are rapidly growing our team, and your contributions will have a direct impact to the growth of our Company. In this position, you will serve as the head architect of operations, which will initially be the buildout of our delivery, distribution, manufacturing, and cultivation facilities and team. You will be directly responsible for managing multiple divisions of our Company, including manufacturing, inventory, logistics, and distribution of consumer packaged goods.
In this hands on role, you will work with a team of executives that share your energy and motivation to build a well recognized, profitable, and compliant cannabis company. You have a strong background in leadership and a deep understanding of how to grow a business. You have outstanding communication skills, you are a dynamic leader, and have worked in large scale manufacturing operations.

Own safety, quality, delivery and cost execution of the entire supply chain team (farms, manufacturing, distribution, and delivery functions)
Implements programs to ensure overall safety, security, maintenance, and profitability of operations functions
Oversees production resources and processes while maintaining established corporate metrics for quality and on time delivery
Oversees the review of financial statements and the underlying operations activities for each of the operating channels / departments
Preparation and presentation of weekly operational reports, escalation points, and overall performance
Initiates and manages continuous improvement projects to resolve production challenges
Identify and implement operational IT infrastructure needs including project management, seed to sale tracking, inventory, resource tracking, etc.
Improves on budgets and work with the team on providing insight into profitability by product.
Assesses project and resource requirements/allocations
Planning and Directing
Liaison with top management. Assists in the development of strategic plans for operational activity.
Establish Long-Term Operations Objectives that are aligned with the long term business goals
Creates presentations for quarterly business reviews and strategic plans
Develops and executes strategic plan for the operations department (cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and delivery)
Manages, mentors and challenges a team of 5-6 supervisors and 30+ employees.
Works with management to assess current staffing and plan for future staffing needs
Develops, trains and coaches all direct reports and those integral to the flow and control plan
Develops and management of employee training programs
Enforces company policies on Safety and Employee Discipline
Communicate changes to the workforce
Creates performance improvement plans, administers discipline, and identifies training opportunities when appropriate
Supply Chain Management
Communicates, networks, and negotiates with external product suppliers and transportation companies
Resolves escalated customer concerns.
Ensures all aspects of the operation meet requirements from purchase of raw materials to customer delivery.
Safety and Compliance
Guide Operations Management In Compliance With Government And Other Regulatory Agency Guidelines And Laws And Company Programs.
Implement Programs To Ensure Overall Safety, Security, Maintenance for the operations functions
Ensures standard operating procedures are obeyed in day to day Company operations
10+ years manufacturing operations experience in a progressive environment, including experience leading the function
Management: 5 years (Required)
Strong Supply Chain P&L understanding and budget management
Proven track record of building and managing effective teams
Exceptional communication skills
Expert negotiation skills with proven ability to produce results
Ability to interact with all levels of company personnel, including C-suite
Strategic thinker with the ability to drive results
Ability to mentor and coach employees and hold employees accountable
Life Science/GMP experience a plus
Experience in a regulated industry is a plus
