Job Description

Yokohama Off-Highway Tires America is seeking a dynamic Supply and Demand Planner to manage the U.S. OE warehouse distribution network. The Supply and Demand Planner must work towards achieving predetermined targets and demonstrate personal initiative with a focus on driving superior process efficiency within our supply chain. Additionally, the candidate will work with our global supply teams to ensure accuracy of procurement and on time delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics distribution and inventory analysis. We are looking for a proven self-starter with strengths in inventory reconciliation and logistics operation. The candidate will be an excellent communicator with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Analyze inventory levels with sales to develop and manage daily, weekly, and quarterly supply plans. Partner with logistics team to determine and execute an optimal supply chain for all product shipments. Improve product allocation and planning processes. Results should meet financial revenue plans, while achieving cycle time, inventory turnover, and lead time targets. Identify problem areas and drive appropriate functional groups to correct. Analyze product orders and backlogs on a daily basis to ensure proper inventory levels. Coordinate closely with worldwide product planning and manufacturing teams to ensure supply plans support channel sales and inventory levels. Identify improvement opportunities to drive continuous process improvements.

Key Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years supply chain experience, preferably in a global supply chain
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Demand planning experience a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with peers, customers and management
  • Develop custom reporting and querying for internal requirements
  • Proven analytical thinking and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of inventory control concepts, practices, and procedures
  • The ability to translate data and measurements into insights and strategic plans
  • Be able to work within a team environment to meet targets
  • Demonstrate initiative to create and improve upon standard procedures
  • Ability to manage and drive change in a dynamic, high-growth environment
