Job Description
We have a contract opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Technician in Durham North Carolina. This position is approved until June with a possibility of being extended and could go temp to hire.

Pay Rate: $23/Hr. - Flexible for Highly Qualified candidates

12-hour Shifts Rotation: 2-2-3 schedule (every other weekend off)
The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for direct support of all manufacturing process equipment. This role involves performance of Preventive and Corrective maintenance by mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting of specialized and automated process equipment. The candidate is required to be an active contributor to failure root cause analysis.

Responsibilities:
1.      Documents and improves Preventative Maintenance Procedures.
a.      Adhere to FDA Regulations, GMP, ISO, HSE (OSHA).
b.      Ensures information related to maintenance and reliability is communicated and/or documented for compliance, history, and reliability.
c.      Strive towards continuous improvement of Preventative Maintenance procedures in pursuit of failure prevention and increased efficiency.
2.      Maintains / Operates and troubleshoots highly automated mechanical and electrical systems with minimal supervision within a team environment.
3.      Performs corrective maintenance activities as necessary and in compliance with site documentation and change control requirements.
4.      Ensures that the automated mechanical and electrical systems meets the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) goals determined by Manufacturing standards to support business demands.
5.      Ensures manufacturing is operating efficiently in a safe GMP environment
6.      Champion root cause analysis and continuous improvement to equipment/systems driving toward increasing reliability and minimizing the incidence of unplanned downtime to production equipment.

Education:
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
Additional Certification(s), Associates a plus

Required Experience and Skills:
1.      5 plus years of experience in electrical and mechanical manufacturing maintenance, troubleshooting &repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
2.      Experience working in a cGMP/Regulated environment a plus.
3.      Ability to read ladder logic, troubleshoot and repair PLC’s, electrical systems, AC/DC drive systems, and mechanical systems. Proficiency in machining, welding, and fabricating a plus.
4.      Experienced in the operation of high speed, highly automated, automated mechanical, and electrical systems (preferably in a regulated environment within the last 6 years a plus.
5.      Basic Computer Skills required; Email, Windows, Word, and Excel
6.      Attention to detail and GMP experience (including knowledge of change control, validation, and commissioning processes) desired.
