Why Work Here?

Awesome benefits, 11 paid holidays, PTO, multiple locations, work for a purpose!

Our YWCA empowers women by providing economic education, childcare, leadership recognition, transitional housing, support for victims of sexual assault, and by working for racial justice . In St. Louis, our beginnings can be traced to a need for safe housing and job training for rural women who came to St. Louis to work at the 1904 World Fair. In 1905, we were incorporated as an autonomous, accredited affiliate of YWCA USA. Since our local founding, programs and services have evolved to meet constituents changing needs, yet our commitment has never wavered in our quest to empower women and girls in a racially just society. An empowered woman can earn a living wage, take care of herself and her family, insure her children are educated, and participate in her community. Today over 25 million people participate in YWCA programs at more than 1,300 sites across the United States and in 125 countries. The YWCA employs around 14,000 staff members nationally. Set your career in a rewarding direction ”join the YWCA ”and help move women and families forward in our community! It is hereby reaffirmed that it is the policy of the YWCA of Metropolitan St. Louis to provide equal employment opportunity for all qualified persons without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual preference, national origin, age, disability, status as a disabled veteran or a veteran of the Vietnam Era or any other factor whose consideration is prohibited by applicable law.
