Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:This position ensures that the YMCA is maintained to the highest standards and that all building systems are operated as efficiently as possible to provide the Association with the best possible returns while fully satisfying member, tenant, and employee expectations. Under the direction of the Facilities Director, this individual will ensure that current maintenance policies and procedures are followed and updated as required.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Test pool chemistry and make adjustments as required.2.

Assists with operation and maintenance of all aquatic, and HVAC mechanical equipment.3. Responsible for operation and maintenance of fitness equipment.4. Responsible for clean grounds including the contribution to landscape maintenance including: lawn mowing, trimming, and other landscapemaintenance.

Responsible for sprinkler irrigation as required.5. Responsible for cold weather maintenance and operations, including snow removal and... de-icing.6.

Reports maintenance and safety issues to the Facilities Director promptly and provides recommendations for repair. Uses online work order system and electronic communication methods to track maintenance needs and requests.7. Orders and stocks parts.8.

Utilizes proper safety protocol and techniques while performing work. Properly uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintains a clean and orderly work environment, free of obstructions and safety hazards.9.

Demonstrate through action and interaction with staff, members, and the public, the four Core Values of the YMCA: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.QUALIFICATIONS:1. One year experience preferred in a like facility, commercial building, or building maintenance.2. Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

On the job training is available.3. Familiar with all job safety requirements such as PPE and Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO).4. Familiarity with pool chemistry preferred but not required.5.

Current CPR, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, and other job certifications, or obtain within the first 60 days of employment. Training is provided.Physical Demands:Requires medium physical effort such as frequent setting up of heavy equipment, frequently working in uncomfortable positions, or exposure to health and safety hazards. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on an infrequent basis.

Use of ladders, scaffolding, and lift and occasional operation of heavy equipment like man lifts, backhoes, and other landscape equipment. This position works both indoors and outdoors. Occasionally will work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold
