Childcare and Camp Registrar

Come join our team! This is a part-time postion, with flexible daytime hours, averaging 20-25 hours per week. The childcare and camp registrar is responsible for the the registration process for our school-age before and after care programs and our summer camp programs. A successful candidate is detailed oriented, professional and courteous, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for the childcare and camp registration process, payment information, maintenance and organization of all childcare and camp contracts and registrations, and ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Process and register all participants in the childcare and camp programs offered at the YMCA using Daxko and CampBrain programs
  • Collect and process all payments for the childcare and camp programs.
  • Provide leadership and manage the on-going processes associated with program participant accounts to include: account receivables, delinquent accounts, pending accounts, cancellations, wait lists and changes to orders as needed.
  • Maintain open communication with the staff and with the families and assist with collecting over-due or unpaid balances.
  • Provide customer service for the childcare and camp programs in a timely and professional manner
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be detail-oriented, self-directed and able to work independently.
  • Must have strong customer service skills and/or pervious office realted experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and have the ability to become proficient in association specific software applications.
  • Ability to handle and process confidential information.
  • Possess strong fiscal aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • A two-year degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of two years experience in an administrative/finance capacity is preferred.
  • Previous bookeeping experince a plus.
