Senior Software Engineer

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist project management in designing technical approach, establishing a technical plan and architecture for phased enterprise systems migration, installation and implementation;

• Review existing policies & governance, functional and technical specifications, infrastructure and architectural documentation to determine future requirements
• Identify gaps in legacy presentation, apps, data, security, infrastructure specifications.
• Engage/interview legacy developers and support resources, use the feedback to Write/supplement specifications that will meet business needs and functional requirements and comply with applicable standards;

• Create and manage implementation plans for projects;

• Respond to questions from clients and analyze what-if scenarios;

• Write and review policy, technical and design documents;

• Provide change management procedures and standards to define and implement various types of security in collaboration with ISSO (hardware, software, OS level, etc.);

• Collaborate with Sr. System Administrator/Architect to leverage infrastructure capabilities;

• Create testing/quality assurance plans;

• Manage change requests and problem reports;

• Manage Business Process Management implementation;

• Provide proof of understanding and management of technical framework architectures such as: SOA / Web Service Design and implementation; XML technologies: XSD, XSL; T-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services; BizTalk implementation; SharePoint implementation; Web Security Experience: SAMC and Federated ID Management; JavaScript; DHTML; AJAX; and HTML/CSS.

Minimum Requirements:

• Expertise in optimizing designs and applications;

• Advanced and refined computer and software troubleshooting skills;

• Systems and architectural support experience;

• Strong skills in enterprise computer technology, including security, software applications, IP operations, PC and laptop hardware, and peripherals;

• Strong, proactive client-service ethic;

• Strong time management and detail-oriented organizational skills; and

• Seven (7) years of experience, five years with BA in a related technical field, three years with a Master's degree.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;
• Demonstrable communication skills and experience making nontechnical users comfortable with technology concepts;
