Job Summary:
To provide CXVP US with the commercial financial skills, US specific tax and reporting requirements and deliver the centralized financial reporting and forecasts which support decision making locally and globally and provide all financial reporting and taxation filing requirements on a timely basis.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- The provision of commercial financial expertise to the US leadership team in relation to sales, operations and cost management;
- Timely and accurate financial and management information - weekly KPI reporting; month end reporting pack, P&L and cash forecasting, annual accounts and budgeting;
- The development of management information (in conjunction with the office of the CFO) and reporting with particular reference to project and business area profitability within each business area; - Publishing of appropriate commentaries on all financial reports prepared;
- Managing the local accounting and administration resources to ensure that all books and records are kept up to date on a timely basis and are an accurate reflection of the business;
- Oversight of payroll;
- Preparation of all externally required reports including taxation and other statutory returns;
- Management of the cash flow of the business, in consultation with the Leadership Team and the Group finance function;
- Local audit management, interaction with auditors;
- Preparation of annual budgets in conjunction with the Leadership Team;
- Supporting the enhancement of the Company's project management, accounting and reporting systems to increase the efficiency of the function, including seeking out opportunities to increase automation and reduce the workload in the area;
- Playing a very active role in supporting the new initiatives the business will embark on in the coming years including acquisition;
- Maintaining excellent relationships with all the internal and external stakeholders in the business;
- Other ad hoc projects which arise during the business;
Essential that the candidate has previous experience in the commercial application of financial expertise and ideally, in an engineering / project-based company.
Key qualifications, skills and experience required:
- A recognized accounting qualification (CPA), with at least 3 years post qualification experience with involvement in the operations activities of a business as well as reporting activities;
- Have a high degree of commercial and business acumen;
- Have previously had principal responsibility for the preparation of accounts;
- Have proven technical excellence in accounting;
- Have a strong systems approach, with a demonstrated capability to utilize the systems used to support the finance and business operations function;
- Be an outstanding communicator and collaborator with a strong, hands-on team approach to problem solving;
- Be flexible with an ability to work to tight deadlines
This role will report to the President of CXV Global in the US with a dotted line responsibility to the Group CFO who is based in Ireland. The role will be based in Newtown, PA and will be principally office based. There will be a requirement to travel to other locations within the Group including Ireland from time to time.
