Job Overview:

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to Manage district sales efforts in accordance with corporate guidelines to increase the client base through the implementation of specifically approved sales and marketing programs.

Please note – This is a remote position, the individual selected for this position will be required to travel to corporate headquarters in Bethesda, MD on a quarterly basis.

Essential Duties:

  • Manages the achievement of corporate objectives by individual product lines within the area of district responsibility and within budgeted financial guidelines.
  • Recruits and selects, and manages business consultants in meeting or exceeding corporate goals.
  • Monitors attainment versus forecast and takes corrective action when necessary.
  • Identifies potential management candidates and brings them to the attention of the VP of Sales.
  • Manages line-by-line items of corporate assigned budgets.
  • Projects a positive image in representing the corporation to clients and the community.
  • Works with operation managers to develop mutual objectives and problem-solving issues using partnership principles.
  • Ensures accuracy of weekly activity reports and audits commission and expense reports.
  • Initiates and participates in, and supervises ongoing training of assigned sales representatives in technical knowledge, competitive knowledge, and sales skills knowledge.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Marketing
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or marketing.

Additional Skills:

  • Excellent relational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong working knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. To be evidenced by the following:
    • Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
    • Oral Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
    • Speech Clarity - The ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.
    • Speech Recognition - The ability to identify and understand the speech of another person.
    • Written Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Written work product requires little if any grammar and /or spelling corrections.
  • Diplomacy. The ability to maintain a pleasant manner, tact, and diplomacy in challenging circumstances.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to be productive and efficient under varying volumes of workload and rapidly shifting priorities.
