Vaxcom is currently looking for a talented Director of Operations Management to join our National Security Solutions Business Unit. The Director will play a critical role in supporting the future growth and execution of the business. This candidate must have excellent written and oral communications skills and must be able to effectively interface with staff and management of all levels. They should have strong collaboration skills, be able to manage multiple, potentially conflicting, assignments, while ensuring accuracy, adherence to documentation standards, and timely delivery of all work products.
Clearance: this position requires a current/active TOP SECRET security clearance (with polygraph)
Oversee successful execution of ongoing programs and lead transition and start-up of new projects/programs.
Responsible for working with Program Managers to monitor and mitigate risks and ensure projects meet technical, schedule, cost and quality objectives.
Key member of the Business Unit executive team, working with Program Managers, PMO staff, and Project and Functional Leads to ensure successful delivery of mission-critical capabilities. Serve as the primary interface with Government clients.
Deliver operational excellence, and ensure projects exceed technical, schedule, cost and quality objectives
Track completion of actions assigned to various project teams
Lead planning and start-up for emergent projectsdeveloping ROMs, building a team, establishing roles and responsibilities
Implement effective stakeholder communicationsconducting meetings, preparing reports, and addressing issues and concerns
Ensure on-time delivery of responses that are customized for project needs and meet all requirements.
Responsible for the development and management of the operations plan, prioritization and coordination of related activities to ensure timely responses to client and corporate requests
Provides executive level expertise on all operational aspects
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field of study required
At least 15 years of relevant experience required
Demonstrated success in leading IC Programs and/or Divisions
In-depth knowledge and experience with planning and oversight of large programs in the operations area
Track record for managing complex technical projects with aggressive schedules
Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
Must be well-organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable working in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic work environment
Must possess a current Top Secret SCI clearance with poly (and obtain Government client approval).
