Position Title: Systems Engineer 1 (Entry Level)

General Position Description:

XSITE is seeking an adaptable individual for an entry level position supporting development of a U.S. Navy shipboard digital maintenance software engine. This position will work closely with the Lead Systems Engineer and the Software Development team to develop and document the system, specifically the functional, performance, and interface design aspects of the as-is and to-be states of the software engine.

A qualified candidate will be willing and able to work on-site at the Navy Shipyard in Philadelphia as needed.

Job Description:

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be required to:

• Create System-level architecture diagrams in Cameo
• Meet with vendors to document design decisions
• & Manage a system-level requirements baseline

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in an engineering field, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Software
• Strong abstraction skills (ability to logically sort complex data sets)
• Skilled at explaining complex concepts and engineering principles to laypeople
• Strong technical writing competencies
• U.S. Citizen
• Eligible for a Secret Clearance with a successful background investigation completed

 Desired skills:

• Previous experience (including Co-Ops or Internships) with DoD and/or Systems Engineering
• Group/Team experience of a technical nature
• Knowledge of software systems and/or coding languages
• Ability to self-manage

Clearance Requirements:

• Active Secret Clearance desired
• And/or be eligible for a Secret Clearance with a successful background investigation completed

Telework: Hybrid

Travel Anticipated: 10% or less
