We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the safe conditions and functionality of the premises.You will be responsible for performing work involving diversified duties. Including things such as repairing mechanical equipment, troubleshooting, processing Work Orders on the MicroMain database, etc. The ideal candidate is proactive in looking for preventative repairs, an excellent problem solver, and is detail-oriented.

This is a temp to perm position. Requirements Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility. Diagnose mechanical problems and trouble shoot malfunctions to determine how to correct them by following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, repair manuals and engineering specifications. Locates sources of problems by observing production machines in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools and determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating to the Department Supervisor improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains a safe clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Preferred Qualifications Computer literate and open to a digital work order management system. Have knowledge and awareness of OSHA and state safety regulations and policies. Ability to properly handle solvents and chemicals following SDS/MSDS sheets. Knowledge of lockout tag out procedures for all types of equipment. Adjust functional parts, control instruments, using hand tools, levels, or straightedges. Welding and fabricating experience or certifications. Pipe fitting experience.
