Senior Account Executive, Commonwealth//McCann

The Sr. Account Executive manages and coordinates Agency resources to ensure that day to day Client needs are met. The focus of the Senior Account Executive role is to manage projects, ensuring that assigned projects are completed flawlessly and to the highest standard. The Sr. Account Executive will assist in the supervision of the Account Executive/Asst. Account Executive.

The Sr. Account Executive will have some Client contact related to the management of projects


  • Oversee and execute project management needs on the account - including coordination of internal resources, project initiation, gathering product information, management of budget and timelines, management of the production process, Client/internal approvals, management of revisions, accuracy and quality of Agency product, creative trafficking approvals
  • Keep Client and account team updated on the status of account activities
  • Ensure necessary people are informed of Client requests
  • Foster and continue to build internal relationships.

Client/Agency Relationship:
  • Develop rapport and partnering relationship with key Clients. Build the relationship by demonstrating genuine sense of responsibility for the success of the Chevrolet business

Management & Supervision:
  • Begin to supervise the output of Account Executive/Asst. Acct Exec and manage daily workload and priorities

Industry Knowledge:
  • Develop deeper understanding of the Client's business and the automotive environment by actively learning business, products and competitive environment. Based on knowledge of business and industry, bring forward new initiatives and opportunities.

  • Input into Client service materials (ie. status reports, contact reports, meeting agendas)
  • Manage coordination of material from US/Global resources
  • Assemble presentations as required
  • Under the supervision of the Account Supervisor assist with billing and budgeting process
  • Assist Account Supervisor with campaign tracking and measurement
  • Development of competitive analysis on quarterly, or as needed basis

Personal Development:
  • Actively develop greater understanding of Chevrolet and competitive product and landscape

Measured Accountabilities (Annual Performance Review Criteria):
  • Quality of Project Management Skills & Knowledge: Effectiveness and quality of execution of assigned projects including, but not limited to, ability to multi-task, set priorities, flawless execution, attention to detail, timeliness, product knowledge, follow through
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated and expanded knowledge of automotive business and Client product. Must bring forth a minimum of 2 initiatives/opportunities on an annual basis to the Chevrolet team
  • Completion of online training courses
  • Supervisory skills
  • Quality of strategic insights as demonstrated through initiatives, campaign tracking/analysis and competitive analysis'

Required Skills
Required Skills:
  • Min. 3-4 years of experience in Agency environment in a Client service role (offline or online)
  • Solid understanding of the production and creative development process
  • Strong understanding of site and online advertising and overall digital process
  • Previous experience working in an integrated team environment would be an asset
  • Demonstrated creative and innovative thinker
  • Ability to craft well thought out POVs and communicate effectively
  • Track record of building strong Client relationships
  • Previous experience in automotive segment. Must has passion for cars
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to multi-task and set priorities in fast moving environment
  • Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations
  • Results and quality driven
