ERP Project Functional Lead

Seeking an ERP Finance/HR Functional Lead or Leads to support a School District in implementing a new, Cloud-based ERP system. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the implementation of a modern Finance, Accounting, Procurement, HR, and/or Payroll modules of an ERP system in a public sector or education environment.

The candidate will assist the school district and the systems integrator Project Manager in identifying key business resources to assist with process definitions and system configurations for the system's deployment within the functional areas. The candidate will work closely with technical and the appropriate business resources within the school district to understand and document business requirements as well as assist in the development of technical solutions to address business needs for the respective function. The functions associated include:

  • Facilitates the business process change decisions necessary to deliver the new ERP system for the under time-sensitive conditions
  • Communicates existing business process and procedures to the solution provider consulting teams
  • Attends and is a key contributor to business process expertise for current/future state analysis sessions
  • Identifies and includes additional subject matter experts to participate in Current/Future state analysis sessions
  • Provides business process change support during Power User and End User training
  • Acts as and ambassador/champion of change for the new process
  • Identifies and communicates any additional training needs or scheduling conflicts to the school district Project Manager
  • Actively participates in all aspects of the implementation, including, but not limited to, the following key activities:
    • Task Completion
    • Stakeholder Presentations
    • Implementation Management Plan development
    • Schedule development
    • Maintenance and monitoring of the Project Risk Register
    • Escalation of Issues
    • Communication with the ERP software solution provider team
    • Coordination of school district resources
    • Attendance at scheduled sessions
    • Change Management Activities
    • Modification specifications, demonstrations, testing and approval assistance
    • Conversion of data analysis and verification assistance into the new ERP system
    • Decentralized End User Training
    • Process Testing
    • User Acceptance Testing / Systems Acceptance Testing

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, HR, Finance, Accounting and/or related degree
  • Five Years of Experience working with or for the public sector or education organizations
  • Experience leading and supporting implementations of ERP Finance, Accounting, Procurement, HR, Finance modules
