Part Time HR Administrator

Worcester Jewish Community Center

Worcester JCC is a non-profit community service organization founded by leadership from the greater Worcester Jewish communities and built on the values of promoting healthy lifestyles, education, life-long learning, and charity. Offerings at the 80,000 square foot center include: accredited center for pre-school and toddler aged children; popular summer day camps for preschooler and school age children and teens; licensed after school programs, child care, and babysitting services; indoor and outdoor pools for aquatic recreation; a spa for massage therapy; a fitness center; over 50 fitness classes weekly; personal training; sports programs; lectures and discussion groups in literature, film, and the arts; monthly social programs; volunteering opportunities; and, local events and cultural trips. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update payroll and benefits information and files
  • Process company payroll for 100 300 staff, many seasonally
  • Provide support to staff and managers on timekeeping process
  • Track Paid Time off accruals
  • Run employee background checks
  • Onboard and offboard staff
  • Add, change and cancel staff from benefits
  • Process status and other changes
  • Support Director of Finance administering staff benefits and open enrollments (limited benefit eligible staff)
  • Support HR compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR or administrative support role
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel skills
  • Knowledge and experience in payroll and benefits processing is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and proactive ownership of duties
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Confidentiality and integrity
  • BA/BS and/or equivalent on the job experience
