What we are looking for:
The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and onboarding team members, administering benefits, driving company policies, and assisting in team member relations activities. The Human Resources Generalist shall strive to provide exceptional service our team members at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa Culture as well as promoting our hotel values of Honesty, Enthusiasm, Integrity, Accountability and Passion for Service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate all recruiting and hiring efforts which includes but is not limited to:
- Write and place job postings
- Create and execute a recruiting plan for all positions
- Assist leaders in the recruiting process, providing training as necessary
- Direct team member orientation process ensuring both legal compliances, and a warm welcome to the property
- Coordinate all Training and Development programs which includes but is not limited to:
- New Hire training
- Management training
- Ensure ongoing departmental training is completed
- Ensure annual performance evaluations are completed accurately and on time
- Ensure company compliance with all wage & hour laws
- Ensure compliance of Food Handler, MAST, and other team member licensing is up to date and correctly maintained for audits
- Maintain team member personnel files, ensuring that all information required in Human Resources Audit Checklist, is included in all files
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- At least two years’ experience in Human Resources or a related field.
- SHRM-CP a plus but not required.
- Hospitality background preferred but not required
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
