The Field Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of outside sales reps who are responsible for driving profitable sales within a specific geographic area. This position will be responsible for the following major Mid-Atlantic metro markets: Virginia, DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. (Richmond and Alexandria, VA, Washington D.C., Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA, and Newark, NJ)

Education/Experience of a Field Sales Manager
- Bachelor's Degree in Business related field required.
- 5-10 years of sales or management related experience and/or training required.
- Managing sales team of 5-8 Outside Sales Reps.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Field Sales Manager include, but are not limited to the following:
- Achieve and/or exceed budget and growth goals for sales team:
- Oversee budget and goal creation for sales team.
- Oversee strategy to achieve budget and goals.
- Increase market share annually.
- Developing sales team:
- Coaching the 5-phase sales process and skills used throughout the sales process.
- Identify team's professional development needs.
- Spends appropriate time in the field (40-60%) to observe and assist in sales calls.
- Sets clear expectations and holds team accountable to Woodgrain standards.
- Coaching in the CRM platform (CX):
- Influence adoption to utilize sales activities in CX.
- Coaches team to effectively develop opportunities in CX pipeline and to move new business opportunities forward in the sales process.
- Strategic Focus:
- Demonstrates a strategic perspective.
- Help set and execute corporate, divisional, and regional strategies.
- Sets short-term and long-term areas of focus for their markets.
- Utilize Business Tools and Data:
- Utilizes sales and business management tools to drive profitable growth.
- Utilizes sales data to identify and reduce churn.
- Regularly reviews reports to help manage inventory for Distribution Centers within markets.
- Networking and Relationships:
- Develop relationships with key account leaders and influencers.
- Develop relationships with regional leaders and influencers within partnered National Accounts
