Medical Assistant Obstetrics Gynaecology

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support the doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Your role will be largely back office but will also need to do some front office responsibilities. We will cross train you in both aspects.

We are seeking a Medical Assistant Obstetrics Gynecology to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update medical records
• Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
• Check with patients
• Assist during medical examinations and minor office procedures
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Be able to handle receivable accounts and keep financial records
• Prepare and clean office rooms and medical instruments

• Skills

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Must be able to use EMR
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Degree in medical assistance
