WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE 

The Utility Planners develop, implement, and sustain preventative, corrective, and shutdown related job plans for Refrigeration, Boilers, and Electrical groups. 

  •  Coordinate repairs for utility equipment motors, pumps, and various other items. 
  • Prepares/stages parts and Job Packs for scheduled maintenance. 
  • Requisitions all non-inventory parts and tools for job plans and any required break in work. 
  • Kit and stage required parts, special tools, odds and ends for assigned planning activities each week. 
  • Evaluates backlog to determine scheduled work that requires parts staged. 
  • Performs regular audits of all staging areas (physical and JDE). 
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease downtime, streamline work processes, and works cooperatively with the Refrigeration, Boilers, and Electrical teams to achieve Total Process Reliability. 
  • Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; shares expertise with others. 
  • Works with the Utility Manager to improve all facets of planning/scheduling. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  •  1-2 years of experience in Maintenance Scheduling. 
  • Good computer skills, Excel, Word. 
  • Must be able to perform all job functions safely. 
  • Valid California Driver License. 

Additional Required Qualifications: 

  •  Punctual, excellent attendance record and ability to work with others. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. 
  • Ability to respond promptly to customer needs and request for service assistance. 
  • Detail oriented, able to gather and analyze information skillfully 
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. 

 Physical Demands

  • Environment: Field environment; travel from plant to plant; exposure to noise, dust, fumes, gases, inclement weather, cold storage temperatures. 
  • Mobility; Heavy, moderate and light lifting, walking, standing for prolonged periods of time, ladders and stairs.
