The Department of Administration, Division of Personnel Management is recruiting for a Human Resources Assistant to fill a Limited Term Employment opportunity at King Veterans Home. This position will offer a variety of valuable experience in administrative, customer service and human resources operations. Position Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant - Limited Term (LTE) position provides paraprofessional confidential support to the Human Resources team located at King Veterans Home and functions under the supervision of the Human Resources Supervisor.
This position performs a wide variety of administrative support functions for Human Resources program areas. Duties and responsibilities include drafting and editting personnel documents; disseminating information; develop and production of human resources reports; updating and maintaining personnel information in PeopleSoft; providing technical assistance to human resources staff.
The work this position performs is primarily in a computerized office environment.
Due to the nature of this position, a background check is required prior to an offer of employment.

Limited term employees, are not civil service classified positions, do not have any rights to permanent civil service classified positions, and do not lead to permanent status.
Some travel may be required.
In order to be eligible for this position, candidates must have experience in the following areas:
- Experience providing high level customer service
- Experience using computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, database and email software.
- Experience managing and prioritizing large volumes of work, detailed in nature, while maintaining accuracy.
- Working in a Human Resources setting
- Working with confidential information
- Working with payroll and/or HR software systems
