Job Description

Leading Material Handling Dealer is in need of an experienced, responsible, and dependable CDL-licensed Semi-Truck / Flat Bed Driver. This is a local driving position, no overnight OTR runs. Duties for this position include:

  • Safe and efficient transportation of equipment (material handling equipment, construction equipment, industrial cleaning equipment).
  • Responsible for loading, unloading, and securing load.
  • Daily safety and operating check of truck and trailer.
  • Completion of delivery or pickup paperwork, obtain customer signatures on shipping documents - submit paperwork to office daily.
  • Complete time cards with time specific to each run.
  • Complete daily driver logs as required by DOT.
  • Make sure loads are within legal weight limits.
  • Report all repairs needed for transportation equipment to immediate supervisor.
  • Inform supervisor if any mechanical or physical problems are detected on equipment being transported.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

Successful candidate will hold a valid CDL Class A / Class B driver's license with HazMat endorsement (can be obtained post hire). Must have good driving record. Must be licensed to operate powered industrial equipment (we can furnish). Must present professional image to customers. Must have strong knowledge of DOT regulations. Must be safety conscious at all times.
