EPSS Project Coordinator (Education Pathways to Student Success)  Reports to: Tribal Education Director                                                                                  Salary (Grade): $22.07 (G19-E)                                                                                            

Status: Reg., Full-Time   (Non-Exempt)                                                                                                                                                                                  Location: 317 Frenchman St, Winnebago NE. 68071   Job Purpose & Position Overview The purpose of this position is to be responsible for managing and administering the Demonstration grant, Education Pathways to Student Success Project for the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. This five year grant project has been developed to provide education options for students and families in the Winnebago Community, provide a six-week summer education program, and apprenticeship program for students in grades 11 and 12 at the Winnebago Public School.  Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities: 
  • Demonstrate the Winnebago Tribe’s core mission, vision, and values. 
  • Coordination, management and administration of the EPSS Project. 
  • Organize and conducts planning meetings as necessary with project partners. 
  • Identify actions and strategies to complete the activities according to timeline. 
  • Review and analyze assessment information to monitor on-going progress. 
  • Provides on-going communication with the Winnebago Tribal Education Director, Project staff and supporters. 
  • Work with project partners to create the summer program, and apprenticeship programs. 
  • Will be responsible for data collected and analysis done by the project and project partners. 
  • Develops and maintains new and existing organizational relationships. 
  • Recruit a parent liaison that will have input on project goals and objectives. 
  • Attend trainings/webinars/conference calls concerning project as necessary. 
  • Become knowledgeable of program organization, philosophy, functions, policies and procedures of the Tribe. 
  • Manages project budget and fiscal responsibilities per Tribal and federal regulations. 
  • Complete and submit all required grant reports by due dates to the funder and Tribal Contract and Grants Specialist for the grants master file. 
  • Submits monthly report to the Tribal Education Director on progress of the grant. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned for the purpose of the funding sources

Required Qualifications/Skills: 
  • Preference will be given to those with an AA or Higher Degree, such as a BS. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to meet driver’s eligibility guidelines set forth by the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s insurance carrier. 
  • Be knowledgeable of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s history, culture and language or be willing to learn. 
  • Must have advanced computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Publisher. 
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational, detail and interpersonal skills. 
  • Able to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures. 
  • Local and national travel required. 
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and to work in a team based and goal oriented environment. 
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including managing and prioritizing projects with multiple deadlines. 
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen. 
 Conditions of employment: 
  • This position is grant funded and NOT guaranteed passed September 30, 2025. 
 Supervisory Responsibilities: 
  • N/A 
 Training Requirements: 
  • Will attend all department meetings and/or training courses as required or directed by the WTN Education Director. 
 Physical Requirements: 
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. or more 
  • Regularly required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, phone, and various office equipment. 
  • While performing daily duties, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. 
 Mental Requirements: 
  • Reading, writing, calculating 
  • Above average social interaction skills 
  • Reasoning/Analysis 
  • Works with minimal to no supervision 
Language Requirements: 
  • Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently. 
  • Must be able to continually and effectively employ professional verbal and written communications skills.

  • All applicants will comply with 45 CFR 1301, Subpart D, Section 1301.31, C and D, which require all prospective employees to sign a declaration prior to employment regarding all arrests and convictions of child abuse or violent felonies and to comply with PL 101-630 and PL 101-637 regarding criminal records check.
