We are seeking a Medical Receptionist that will be located in Johnson County who is a good advocate for their patients, solution-oriented, honest and passionate. Customer Service Component • Greets consumers and visitors in a courteous, welcoming manner. • Responds to incoming telephone calls by offering pertinent information • Scheduling appointments. • Whenever a consumer presents him/herself in the Health Center as an “established” patient, verifies registration information by validating and updating insurance/payer information and patient demographics. • Completes the registration process to include patient demographics, insurance and/or payer informaion local emergency contacts, • Distributes new information packets, copies insurance cards and completes all necessary forms • If indicated, instructs consumers on WHN’s sliding fee scale and provides related forms, • If indicated, instructs patients on WHN’s “Assisted Medication Program” and provides related forms. • Collects patient co-pays or other payments. • Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office guidelines. • Directing all visitors to appropriate in-house personnel. • Monitors the Health Center’s waiting area for consumer/visitor problems and maintains neatness in that area. • Assists with the patient check-out process including collecting payments, issuing receipts and posting cash payment data. Front Office Component. • Serves as a consumer/visitor liaison between the front office and back office.the daily mail distribution. Education, Experience & Training: • High School graduate or GED required; previous training in Customer Service skills related to telephone and/or Service Desk preferred. • A qualified candidate should preferably have at least two (2) years of work experience as a Receptionist in a health care service delivery setting. • Experience with interpreting/translating is preferable. • A Qualified Candidate must be fluent in the Burmese and English Language. • A qualified candidate should have a working knowledge of at least one word processing software package (preferably MicroSoft Word) and one spreadsheet development software package (preferably Micro Soft Excel). • A working knowledge of at least one electronic medical record (EMR) is preferred.
