Job Description

As one of our Account Managers, you will be part of a dynamic inside sales team that supports a wide range of domestic and international customers. We believe customer success is key to increased sales and growing business. Managing established and new accounts plus creating new cable and cable assembly business opportunities are the primary focus of this rewarding Inside Sales position.

What will you be Accountable for?

  • Growing revenue of existing and new business

  • Understanding of sales principles, ability to research, analyze and negotiate

  • Year over year Improvement of Standard Direct Margin across all customers

  • Total Quality Achievement (TQA) Wins

  • Customer Satisfaction

  • Engage with the client at the early stage to qualify the lead with design details

  • Coordinate the offer with Falmat engineering and submit the quote

  • Process the order and enter the information into the database system

  • Provide the customer with updates on delivery and order status

How will you Collaborate?

By taking the initiative to create a regular cadence with internal (Sales, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, HR) and external (Outside Sales Team) team members to support them and drive results. Also by utilizing Google hangouts, face-to-face meetings, email, and other communications to clarify and align at a regular cadence. Always seeking to align using one source of the truth for data. Everyone makes decisions from the same data.

What are you Empowered to do?

  • Follow processes to provide a best-in-class customer experience

  • Identify areas to invest in order to streamline our key critical processes with the intent for long term cost out while improving the customer experience

  • Change and simplify processes as required to eliminate non-value added activity that gets in the way of achieving results

  • Utilize resources to create collaboration & customer plans

  • Utilize all appropriate available resources to support meeting objectives

  • Communicate with the team at a cadence that makes expectations and performance clear

Criteria for Success:

  • Daily Bookings

    • Reach out to customers regarding bookings

    • Use data to reach out to customers

    • Year over year Increases of Standard Direct Margin. Collaborate internally and externally to win business at the highest margin you can. Work to drive price and margin increases.

  • Direct Margin

    • Quote to win new business within acceptable margin guidelines. Collaborate internally and externally to win new business. Use all necessary resources to win new business

  • Customer Satisfaction

    • Identify gaps and lead internal/external teams to close gaps and create a best-in-class customer experience.

    • Improve customer relationships with your contacts

    • Quarterly customer satisfaction surveys and follow up

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & organizational skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving/decision-making skills, ability to make timely, effective, fact-based decisions with confidence

  • 3-5 years, inside sales experience

  • Prior experience in the interconnect space, or in manufacturing is a plus
