About the Team

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is looking for a Public Relations Coordinator for its Pottery Barn Brand! This person will be a part of the Brand Marketing, PR team for Pottery Barn and will support efforts that drive brand awareness and engagement, amplify brand storytelling, support content creation, and build strategic partnerships for the Pottery Barn brand.

About the Role

As part of the Public Relations and Marketing Communications team, the Public Relations Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, ideating, and executing media and influencer strategies for Pottery Barn. The role requires a can-do attitude, an enthusiasm for storytelling, and passion for home décor and design. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a similar role, working at an agency or in-house, with a demonstrated ability to drive consistent brand storytelling and execute day-to-day media relations activities including outreach, sample management, product seeding and event production. This candidate is an excellent communicator with strong (yet succinct) writing skills, an ability to easily and authentically adopt a brand's voice, and a keen understanding of the current media and influencer landscape. The candidate must be a flexible and creative self-starter who is able to work within an entrepreneurial environment and support multiple projects at once. An interest in cultural events, style, travel, and music is a must. The Public Relations Coordinator position reports to the Pottery Barn Public Relations Manager.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

· Communicate daily with a wide range of press outlets including print, broadcast, and online media, securing all product market pitches by fulfilling sample and image requests.

· Identify brand opportunities from media outlets, influencers, and other complimentary brand partners.

· Support seasonal media and influencer product seedings and partnerships. This includes national and regional campaigns and press events.

· Assist with drafting of press materials including press releases, pitch announcements and global onboarding materials for new store openings, collaborations, and seasonal product launches.

· Create seasonal press materials in partnership with marketing creative for domestic and international partners, assuring global brand alignment.

· Support and assist in the ideation and execution of all VIP media influencer events and activations.

· Work with cross-functional partners in marketing, merchandising and product development to support key brand initiatives.

· Track all sample requests, image requests and media coverage. Develop and maintain weekly, quarterly and annual media coverage reports, as well as event and activation recaps as needed.

· Work collaboratively to coordinate brand product collaborations, partnering closely with the merchandising and product development teams to help identify opportunities as well as manage cross-functional workflows.

· Maintain all press databases and editorial contact lists.

· Research and maintain media, blogger and influencer/VIP program.

· Other administrative duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree in Communications or Public Relations preferred.

· 3-4 years of demonstrated success in public relations, communications, marketing, in a fast-paced, flexible, team-oriented environment preferred.

· Public relations agency experience preferred not required.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· A focus on creativity and innovation.

· Ability and desire to work in a collaborative/team environment.

· Must be able to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.

· High level of organizational skills and strong attention to detail required.

· 10% travel

· Ability to sort through and manage PB Products from Sample room as needed

Technical Competencies required:

· Experience using Cision Point database.

· Familiarity with Trendkite media tracking is a plus.

· Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop a plus.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Basic knowledge of Photoshop a plus.
