The Human Resources Generalist will collaborate with management and employees as a trusted advisor to maintain a positive, client-oriented culture and productive work environment through effective employee relations practices. This position will be responsible for leading HR efforts including employee relations, recruiting, the onboarding process, benefits administration, and accounting functions.
Manage employee relations and work with management and employees to promote a positive culture, career development and increase productivity and retention.
Act as a liaison and provide day-to-day performance management guidance (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions).
Administer company and HR policies and procedures.
Maintain integrity and accuracy of personnel database, HR and legal documentation.
Be knowledgeable of all current HR regulations, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
Administer FMLA, ADA and Worker’s Compensation Claim requests.
Support the hiring process in coordination with Recruitment/Hiring Managers, screen and interview candidates; conduct new employee onboarding, orientations and exit interviews.
Assist with performance reviews, scheduling and tracking of personnel documentation.
Manage all aspects of employee payroll information.
Assist accounting functions (e.g., expense report and credit card reconciliation).
Manage the front desk and route incoming calls, mail, inventory, and support administrative tasks.
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Accounting.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a professional human resources function.
Understanding of employment and labor laws and compliance regulations.
SHRM or HRCI Certification a plus.
Extensive experience with onboarding, offboarding and benefits administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word (required).
Strong written and oral communication skills, NS strong presentation skills.
Experience working with highly confidential information.
Fluency in English and Spanish (a plus).
Notary status (a plus).
A valid driver’s license (required).
