WRA is looking for someone to help us build our data analytics practice that will be part of our travel demand modeling and traffic operations practices while supporting our opportunities in transit, architecture, construction, planning, and water/wastewater. WRA is strategically positioned to build a national data analytics practice to meet our client’s ongoing needs. The successful candidate would coordinate with resources across the firm including those in the application development group, IT and GIS while we build our multi-disciplined team.

We are looking for a Data Analytics Practice Lead to join one of WRA’s Mid Atlantic or Florida locations, to provide direction and insights, develop and lead the team, and perform business development while working on projects throughout the company. The candidate must have a national reputation in one of our core business areas such as travel modeling/forecasting data, traffic operations data, or artificial intelligence/machine learning. The person should be interested in leading by example with a hands-on approach rather than a pure marketing/BD role.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree, preferred.
• Requires 10+ years of demonstrated experience
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplined groups of data scientists, data engineers, data solutions engineers, and data visualization.
• Technical expertise in related software such as Hosted Postgres/PostGIS databases, Cloud Services, SQL, Python and R
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to decision-makers and non-data analysts
• Additional, experience in model estimation, AI, machine learning, API's, Distributed processing, Web Mapping, and Data visualization is desired.
