Staff Accountants work in all areas of the firm, including assurance and tax. Assurance includes audit fieldwork in client locations and other attest services. Tax includes opportunities to prepare returns and perform tax planning and research for individual and business clients. All staff accountants receive comprehensive training and career mentoring, including regular performance evaluations and exposure to many different industry specialties. Anyone performing in this role must have exceptional communication skills allowing for effective relationship building at all levels and must be able to work independently and in teams to accomplish a goal

Education & Experience Needed
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university. Master's Degree in Accounting preferred
- CPA or CPA eligible preferred
- Accounting internship preferred but not required

A typical work week includes 40 hours; Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position requires additional hours when necessary to complete special projects and during tax preparation season from January through April each year. A Staff Accountant is expected to work 2,250 hours per year with an average annual charge rate of 70%.
