Position Overview

WhirlWind Technologies, LLC has an immediate opening for a Sr Technical Advisor with projects relating to data science, artificial intelligence (AI), or familiarity with key concepts in each field in Suitland, MD or Remote. This role will work closely with the Combatting Bias Product Owner and possibly the government customer's Emerging Technology Fellowship program. This Advisor will work on projects as a part of the project to combat bias in data - a collection of knowledge and practical tools intended to mitigate bias in federal data and algorithms - as well other, evolving projects. The ideal candidate has strong abilities to approach complex problems creatively, to lead their portion of work skillfully, and to help devise the delivery of thoughtful solutions as a part of a growing team. This position will report directly to the WhirlWind EDSDI Project Manager.

• Create and implement a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge and guidance relative to the strategy, development, delivery and evaluation of technical projects.
• Attend meetings with project leads, reviewing reports, researching materials, or other activities as needed.
• Consult in general operations that contribute to the success of technical deliveries.
• Serve as subject matter expert guiding product and service delivery of key aspects of our portfolio.
• Experience with Version Control Software (Git preferred)
• Strong knowledge of configuration management tools Terraform and Ansible
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, Circle CI
• Experience with containerization frameworks such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash, Python, and JavaScript

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8 Years of experience
• Expertise in product development, public sector, bias mitigation, tooling, and/or artificial intelligence
• Public Trust Clearance (or ability to attain it)
