Sr. Associate, Emergency Management & Planning, Global Safety and Security

Job Description Summary:

Working in collaboration with other Emergency Management and Global Security professionals, the Senior Associate, Emergency Management and Planning will assist with the development and implementation of Emergency Management drills, trainings and exercises across We Company business lines at the Corporate, Regional and Territory level. The Senior Associate will also assist the Manager and Senior Manager in editing and monitoring Emergency Management standards, policies and procedures. In addition, the Senior Associate will learn how to maintain global situational awareness of potential crises impacting the personnel and assets of the WeCompany and maintain systems to that effect.

Among other qualifications, this position requires a basic level of knowledge, skills and abilities related to Emergency and Crisis Management. The Senior Associate will be called upon to assist with Emergency Management situations and support of company events, executive protection, business operations and enterprise risk from an Emergency Management perspective.

The Senior Associate will receive extensive guidance and professional development and mentoring from the Manager, Senior Manager, and Senior Director with the goal of expanding their Emergency Management and Planning skill set.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with development and maintenance of the Corporate Emergency Management Plan, Emergency Management Team planning documentation, training schedules and the Crisis & Emergency Management Playbooks and SOPs.

  • Day-to-day administration of the We Company's fleetwide core call trees, emergency email distribution lists, global emergency numbers, global medical evacuation and redundant communications technologies.

  • Administer with day-to-day functions of the We Company's fleetwide rollout of Automatic External Defibrillators and First Aid Medical Trauma Kits.

  • Collaborate to improve Emergency Signage in WeCompany locations and administer the We Company's fleetwide Emergency Signage program.

  • Assist with the development of new eLearn courses and administer Emergency Management & Planning team's eLearn course scheduling.

  • Conduct routine Emergency Management Plan, Playbook, and SOP maintenance and in conjunction with the Senior Manager develop rehearsal schedules for all levels of the enterprise through Emergency Management Training.

  • Attend Emergency Management Trainings with the goal of becoming proficient in developing and providing training.

  • Develop Community Service Associate/Building Service Associate Emergency Management Training under the supervision and direction of the Senior Manager.

  • Become proficient in providing actionable information by compiling, analyzing and disseminating concise analysis and warning products in written and presentation form to key internal stakeholders. Become comfortable with presenting high level briefings to the WeCompany Senior Leadership Team.

  • In conjunction with the Intelligence and Investigation Team, assist with risk assessments and provide regional Security, Operations and Community personnel with Emergency Management intelligence support in light of developing or future crises.

Job qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher or corresponding military service.

  • 1 year experience in a position as an Emergency Management specialist preferred.

  • Some experience in advising senior management.

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort with public speaking.

  • Professional proficiency in common office software (Microsoft Office Suite or Google equivalent).

  • International experience preferred.

  • Experience working with and analyzing intelligence products.

  • Has the ability to learn and use new software platforms.
