Job Description

WesternTrust is hiring a Bookkeeper Accountant to join its team. This is a generalized position working directly with WesternTrust’s Executive Leadership on a variety of recurring tasks and projects. To be successful in this role, a candidate must be able to handle diverse responsibilities, have exceptional organizational skills, and demonstrate impeccable attention to detail. A successful candidate will find opportunities to grow their career within WesternTrust or its portfolio of subsidiaries in the hospitality, technology, and financial service industries.

This position requires periodic trips to the office for team meetings, otherwise it is a remote, work from home position. The office located at 7161 E. Rancho Vista Dr. Ste. 112 Scottsdale, AZ.

  • Conduct daily and monthly bookkeeping for a variety of WesternTrust’s smaller subsidiaries including, but not limited to, AP/AR, intercompany transactions, journal entries, payments/transfers, and bank reconciliations.
  • Execute various administrative tasks such as making purchases, booking travel, handling mail, issuing/cancelling credit cards, and helping implement new technology solutions.
  • Complete ad hoc projects such as organizing file sharing systems, conducting research, etc.


  • Understanding of accounting and bookkeeping fundamentals. **Experience with QuickBooks or similar software is strongly preferred.
  • Quantitative skills and an aptitude for working with spreadsheets.
  • Self-directed and adaptable with an ability to self train and research how to complete tasks.
  • Adaptable and enjoys working in a changing environment.
  • Ability to understand the needs of others and be self-aware.
  • Ability to complete recurring tasks correctly and on time while also completing longer-term projects.
  • Ability to accept direction and adaptation of direction from WesternTrust’s Executive Leadership.
  • Ability to prioritize a task list and focus on the most important items.
  • Strong, straightforward communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well independently and with other team members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and conduct basic IT troubleshooting.
  • Other duties as reasonably assigned.
