The Role

Located from your home office in the Vancouver or Toronto Area and reporting to the Senior Vice-President and Sales Manager, you are a self-motivated, customer-centric salesperson who gets a thrill from structuring the best possible investment and acquisition opportunities!

In growing your book of business, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing the deal flow of acquisitions and investment partnerships with entrepreneurs who are ready to have a serious conversation about the next step for their business. You will also work on growing our high-yield debt fund, Westbridge Capital Partners Income Trust.

What You’ll Do

  • Actively develop and manage sales and referral channels

  • Proactively & appropriately communicate relevant information to our investor network

  • Collaborate with the executive team on financial modelling, content creation, and due diligence

  • Prospect IIROC-regulated advisors for potential client solutions

  • Proactively and consistently develop strong relationships and provide solutions for entrepreneurs looking to exit their companies

  • Analyze market data and company reports to address, reinforce, or correct market and/or agency performance trends and capitalize on market opportunities

  • Identify qualified leads for potential acquisition for Westbridge Capital

  • Meet with stakeholders including but not limited to the following, in order to discuss the solutions available from Westbridge Capital for their particular needs

  • potential investors

  • advisors regulated by IIROC, and

  • potential acquisitions

What You Bring

  • Bachelor of Commerce or similar business degree

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) considered an asset

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business operations or sales

  • Proven success in building and maintaining customer-centric, long-term client relationships

  • Specific knowledge of Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) requirements is a must

  • Accessible book of IIROC-regulated contacts is required

  • Proven success with cold-calling required and B2B sales are required

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license or other reliable local transportation is required

  • High level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and empathy in order to effectively manage potentially emotionally charged conversations with entrepreneurs

  • Proven ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities

  • Entrepreneurial and continuous learning mindset
