The Logistics Manager's role at our Lebanon Folding facility is tomanage the shipping/receiving and fulfillment warehouse operations\. Responsiblefor storing, managing, and arranging transport for raw materials, work inprogress, and finished goods\. Thisposition will manage a department of \(19\) Warehouse employees \(including 1 teamlead\), \(2\) warehouses \(150,000 total square feet\), and >$10 Millionlogistics budget\. The position will also support the development andimplementation of production planning processes to optimize the purchase andinventories of raw materials, WIP and Finished Goods\. This position reports tothe General Manager\.
Manage all shipping / receiving personnel in executing inbound and outbound freight 24/7 including general supervision of hourly workforce, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Shipping / Warehouse Department Assets \- Oversee department and material handling equipment maintenance including yard truck, tractor, forklifts, docks, and other material handling / transportation equipment used in plant operations
Inventory Management - Manage cycle counting and full inventory processes as required of FG, WIP, corrugate, bags, wire, pallets, tape, stretch film and other manufacturing supplies, maintain departments transaction accuracy to ensure high inventory accuracy
Planning - Support manufacturing in providing materials to the right place at the right time; manage all storage locations\.
Work closely with Customer Service and Operating Departments to purchase materials at appropriate intervals and volumes
Support plant goals in achieving target inventory turns and other key metrics through the optimization of purchasing and delivery practices
Coordinate with plants' Customer Service operations and WestRock Transportation and Warehouse group and subcontractors as required in supporting plants transportation
Manage plants relationship with subcontractors; working toward optimizing space, costs, workflow and communications
Support Continuous Improvement initiatives across the plant using LEAN, Six Sigma, and/or Value Steam Mapping initiatives
**What You Need to Succeed:**
Bachelors' Degree preferred with 5 years of logistics management experience including managing an hourly workforce\.
Proficiency in using manufacturing management software and systems, Microsoft Office software proficiency, AS400 and JD Edwards software experience a plus
Data analytics skill set to apply LEAN, Six Sigma principles to streamline transportation, warehouse and production planning efforts and drive improvement\.
