MULTIFAMILY LENDING OFFICER
The West Virginia Housing Development Fund (the “Fund”), a quasi-governmental organization providing safe, decent affordable housing across West Virginia, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Multifamily Lending Officer based in our Charleston Office. Essential Functions include, but are not limited to, encouraging and assisting housing developers and other interested parties to participate in the Fund’s programs; originating, structuring, processing, underwriting and closing multifamily deals; preparing executive summaries and recommendations for program loans to Executive Management; reviewing project proposals and scoring projects; conducting loan closings, contract negotiations and training; communicating with clients, agencies and partners regarding the Fund’s multifamily lending policy, application requirements and program conditions; ensuring departmental compliance with specific federal, state and programmatic requirements in all phases of the loan underwriting process; identifying problem loan relationships and assisting with the Fund’s workout efforts; and developing performance standards for multifamily and long-term project oversight. Core Competencies include: Budget, Communication, Decision Making, Initiative and Organizational Skills. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field with a minimum of five years’ experience in commercial bank/real estate property development with at least two or more years in commercial credit underwriting and/or commercial lending REQUIRED; Valid driver’s license also required.
