Accessories Technician I
- $16 to $21 Hourly
- Full-Time
Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential paid for working alternate shifts. Eligible for semi annual discretionary bonus based on site performance. Please see attached benefits guide for benefits information
JOB SUMMARY
This full-time, hourly, non-exempt position includes varying amounts of inspection, troubleshooting, adjustments, repairing and performing overhauls and testing accessory components. This position also performs general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of aircraft engines, systems and components on a variety of engines, using personal protection equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications, in a safe and clean work environment. Duties also include preparing and signing off on various documents for “Return to Service” and recordkeeping purposes. Also required to work with products and materials associated with component maintenance. Job duties will vary each day and are designated by the shop manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform overhauls or repairs on a wide variety of different airframe components.
- Troubleshoot and assist in repairing/inspecting different airframe components.
- Utilize and consistently learn new procedures on approved overhaul/repairs.
- Work as a team player and assist co-workers as needed.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Associate’s Degree in related field (aviation or maintenance mechanic) or equivalent preferred.
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required.
Experience
Turbine aircraft experience preferred, but not essential.
Previous mechanic experience required.
A&P Mechanic license helpful, but not required.
Initiative
Self-motivated and able to maintain a rapid pace.
Responsibility
Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Physical Requirements
Lift at least 50 lbs.
Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting.
Routing or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.

Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation.
Work with others in a professional manner.
Supervision
May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.
Work under supervision of Accessory Program Manager.
Working Conditions
The majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar.
Work outside will occur.
Varied positions in and around the aircraft.
Equipment Used
Personal hand tools supplied by the technician.
Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment.
Jacks, stands, lifts and other support devices.
Tugs, power carts and other engine powered equipment.
