Organizational Position

As the Director of Talent Acquisition, you will report to the Chief Development Officer and oversee a set of recruiting managers and specialists. In addition, you will support an entire team of corporate and regional recruiters. You will work with all other departments within the company to determine a hiring strategy for identifying top talent.

Key Role Accountabilities

As the Director of Talent Acquisition, you will be the instrumental in the hiring initiatives of all needs at West Shore Home, both regionally and at the corporate level. You will:

  • Develop the long-term recruiting plans necessary to meet business headcount demands currently and 12-18 months in the future
  • Collect and analyze recruiting data to determine areas for improvement
  • Identify outside resources and technologies that may aid recruiters
  • Work with the CDO on the annual budget, to include sourcing costs, salary expenses, training, and development
  • Collaborate with the Human Resource department to facilitate a smooth transition from recruiting to onboarding for all new hires
  • Work closely with the Training and Leadership Development team on new hire training and talent acquisition training for internal leadership. This will allow for a smooth process for all candidates and a successful development of all managers when it comes to learning the best practices to interview and develop talent
  • Develop highly effective working relationship with management at all levels to ensure effective two-way communication
  • Determine staffing needs and recovery plans for all acquisitions and new branch locations alongside the Integrations department

What Success Looks Like

As the Director of Talent Acquisition, you own the business headcount in all branches and corporate offices at West Shore Home. You must be relentless in your quest to oversee the successful sourcing, screening, and interview scheduling for all candidates throughout every location while working to continually improve the process for everyone involved. You must always do the right thing in accordance with our core ideology at West Shore Home. You must work to get better every single day and work tirelessly to be great at everything you do, while never settling in your quest to improve the talent acquisition processes. You must also be an exceptional teammate to all departments and branch locations by providing the necessary resources and training needed to meet the business headcount demands.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Exempt role with standard hours being from 8:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • May require travel up to 25% of the year.
  • Must be able to sit and use office equipment (computer, mouse, phone, etc.) for extended periods of time.

Minimum Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Two plus years of experiences as a recruiting manager accountable for multiple recruiters in a high-volume business setting with revenues of least $250MM
  • Ability to think strategically about candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Ability to think outside the box and create change within the recruiting industry
  • Ability to develop front line leadership within a recruiting department
  • Experience creating and managing department budget in excess of $1MM annually
  • Experience analyzing large data sets and utilizing knowledge gained from data analysis to create change in processes
