Graduate Assistant Psychology Fall 2023/Spring 2024

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Graduate Assistant position in the Psychology Department.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist faculty members with teaching-related tasks including, but not limited to: preparing class materials, teaching classes, research, program presentations, assisting
  with recruitment and retention activities, assisting during class, grading, mentoring, tutoring, and assisting with programmatic assessment data compilation and analysis.
• Assisting the Behavioral Health Clinic Director with clinical research, resource management, assessment of services, and preparing clinic materials as needed.
• Serve as a bridge between the undergraduate and graduate programs in Psychology.
• Assist with undergraduate projects (i.e. capstone).
• Hold a minimum of 15 GA office hours on campus each week during the day
• Previous experience using Sakai online learning management system is preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

Students must be full-time graduate students in/accepted to the MACP program. Priority will be given to students who have applied by March 1st . This position is for a one-year (Fall/Spring
semester) appointment only.

Graduate Assistant benefits include 18 credits hours of tuition waiver per year and a housing waiver in select campus housing. Students are responsible for any fees. Students have the option to purchase a meal plan although it is not required even when living in campus housing.
