GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of supported living services and residential programs (24/7) to ensure quality service delivery for all people and locations. The Residential Coordinator will oversee and support the management teams at assigned locations and Shared Living Arrangements in the provision of care and support services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The aim is to maximize the potential of people in achieving the highest quality of life. Must possess a strong foundation of experience in providing leadership to teams, as well as forming solid family relationships. All decisions and actions will be consistent with the agency's mission statement and with a person-centered focus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership and Coaching: Create an environment orientated to trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort. Motivate and inspire a shared vision among team members. Lead by setting a good example, models the way, behavior consistent with words. Facilitate problem solving and collaboration, otherwise challenges the process and supports innovation.
- Team Management: Assure presence in the homes to support the day-to-day organization within the home environment. Ensure interviews, hiring practices and training coordination is timely following best practices and agency protocols. Uphold appropriate staffing levels to provide effective supports. Ensure proactive coaching, mentoring and progressive supervisory sequence, including discipline and termination, when necessary. Assure that employee training, performance reviews and bi-annual reviews are timely, accurate and achieve agency expectations with formalized goals in all service delivery areas. Organize and facilitate regular team, nursing, pre-psych, in-service and staff meetings.
- Operational Management: Examine organizational data in coordination with Managers. Support staff to develop positive working relationships with individuals, team members and families. Maintain all areas of Health and Safety relevant to the working environment and staff teams. Ensure employee training and job requirements are maintained per licensing and agency requirements (e.g. Employee In-service, Job Requirements, Individualized Procedures, etc.).Monitor implementation of behavioral strategies and other positive interventions and contribute to the review and development of those strategies. Participates in recruitment for SLA Contractors and takes lead in the vetting process of all qualified candidates. Organizes, evaluates and communicates with all crucial stakeholders in the matching process of a person supported with a potential contractor for an SLA arrangement. Works closely with the SLP team in the monitoring and identification of support needed within each SLA arrangement.
- Skills/Requirements: Professionalism, Excellent Interpersonal and Diplomacy Skills, Effective Oral, Written Communication and Reading Comprehension, Excellent Organization and Time Management, and File Management and Computer Literacy
Education, Knowledge and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred. 3-5 years supervisory experience with knowledge working in a healthcare or human services setting. Working knowledge of implementing and safeguarding practices, policies and procedures. Knowledge of the RI State regulatory framework of service provision.
HOURS & BENEFITS
Full Time: 40 hours. Flexibility required
Location: Warwick, RI
Salary: 56K to 60K commensurate with experience
