Junior Network Field Consultant

The Junior Network Field Consultant is responsible for attaining maximum utilization of internal and associate technical resources through daily workings of service requests. The Junior Network Field Consultant will also assist with on-site support if needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Junior Network Field Consultant position is a key contributor in the success of ensuring client satisfaction. This is achieved by proper follow-thru, triaging, managing of service requests, and helping in managing client expectations.

• Report to client location for scheduled service work
• Assist Network and Senior Network Consultants with client tasks as assigned
• Report to client location for non-scheduled service work
• Timely entry of support details within the respective client ticket
• Participate in regular discussions with client to understand goals
• Provide client a summary of work completed while on-site (to be completed before leaving client location)
• Creating or modifying technical operating procedures and process documentation
• After hours rotation for client issues

Experience Required:

• One year working experience in an IT role (Help Desk, , Network Admin, etc.)
• Strong familiarity with TCP/IP networking concepts
• Experience providing desktop support to non-technical users of Microsoft Office and other business applications
• Hands-On troubleshooting and supporting LANs, WLANs and WANs
• Working Knowledge of network protocols - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• Experience working with Windows and IOS platforms
• Solid understanding of backup processes, including software configuration, restores and retention policies
• Experience with cloud based platforms such as O365, Google, AWS, etc.
• Familiarity with firewall, switches, routers and associated protocols (VLAN, VPN, etc)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
