External Financial Reporting Senior Consultant - Quantitative Impact Studies, Basel & CCAR

Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company's shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services.Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. The Enterprise Basel Team is part of the Controller's Division of Wells Fargo. The team is responsible for producing quarterly management reports for Basel III, Regulatory Schedules (FFIEC 101 FR Y-14Q), and other disclosures per Basel. The team is also responsible for providing responses to regulatory inquiries, studies and surveys proposed by the agencies, ad-hoc analysis for Basel/Capital initiatives, and participates in regulatory and audit reviews that include coverage of Basel related calculation and reporting.
The responsibilities of the External Financial Reporting Sr Consultant on this team may include, but not be limited to the following:
* Coordinate the completion of quarterly production process to aggregate the data that is used to allocate capital Credit Risk Weighted Assets (RWA); CCAR Forecast data; Resolution and Recovery Process as well as for monthly and quarterly earnings processes.
* Prepare lines of business quarterly variance analysis with detailed explanations about what changed the credit risk weighted assets. Experience performing balance sheet rate / volume analysis.
* Assist with annual exercise for Recovery Team in providing various credit risk weights for multiple levels of scenarios.
* Coordinate the completion of Quantitative Impact Studies (QIS) and surveys proposed by the agencies with different business units within the Wells Fargo & Co.
* Research, analyze, and present the business impact of various proposed capital rule changes proposed by Bank of International Settlements (BIS) - Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) and other regulatory agencies within United States and foreign countries.
* Understand the capital infrastructure, Reveleus (Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure - OFSAAI) and its data model. Be able to extract information necessary for management reporting. Query, and organize data to create necessary reports and present it to drive decision making.
* May assist other team members with risk weighted asset forecasting, management reporting allocation analysis, and other ad hoc projects.
* Assist Basel team members with analysis on financial impact of proposed strategic business initiatives.
* Assist with responding to regulatory inquiries and completing studies and surveys proposed by the agencies, industry groups, and for other internal requirements.
* Analyze quarterly capital results to inform management on trends.
* Manage the Share-point repository of all the quantitative impact studies.
Required Qualifications:
* 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting
* 3+ years of SQL experience
Desired Qualifications:
* A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
* Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization
* Essbase and/or SmartView experience
* Ability to prepare presentations, management reporting, and statistical analysis
* Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Knowledge and understanding of maintaining and updating SharePoint team web content
* Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding Dodd Frank, Basel II and III
* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
