*Wholesale Banking* provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.
The Wholesale Financial Crimes Risk & Control (WFCRC) team is responsible for the coordination, oversight and ultimate execution of Wholesale Banking's commitments to key internal and external stakeholders as it relates to the management of financial crimes risk with the Wholesale Bank. In addition to having responsibility for Wholesale Banking's execution of the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) program, WFCRC is also responsible for the remediation of the OCC BSA/AML Consent Order. This team will partner with line of business ("LOB"), operations, risk and compliance team members, Wholesale Control Executive Office, Enterprise Financial Crimes Risk Management, Wells Fargo Audit Services, and Testing & Validation to advocate and ensure alignment in scope, purpose, expectations and execution of the Wholesale Financial Crimes Program. The team will achieve this through a focus on strong communication, strategic planning, thoughtful and meaningful tracking/reporting, and timely escalation and change management.
The Wholesale Financial Crimes Operations (WFCO) team within WFCRC is seeking a dynamic Business Initiatives Consultant. This organization will help provide expertise and oversight for new systems and tools development, while focusing on automation and simplification efforts. This Business Initiatives Consultant 2 (BIC2) will support Wholesale Initiatives while interacting with LOBs, independent risk management, and Audit.
Individual Responsibilities:
This role will support the tools and system support and enhancement within WFCO and will be the primary point of contact for all system and tools related projects, testing, and implementation for WFCO. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Create and maintain internal procedures and supporting documentation (job aids, templates), as that describe the end-to-end process for Process Document Creation, Maintenance, Publishing and Communication, and conduct periodic awareness sessions to ensure consistent execution
* Have expertise in business technical writing techniques.
* Should be aware of; and follow the Documentation and Implementation protocols for planning, drafting/finalizing, submitting guidance for publishing, and completing wrap-up activities
* Partner with SMEs and process owners throughout the life cycle of a process in order to meet delivery deadlines
* Seek necessary opinions and approvals, as needed, for guidance and approvals where warranted
* Work with the Change Management team in determining when the Change management process should be deployed
* Escalate and work with WFCO leadership, WFCRC and others to evaluate potential issues or challenges as they become know that may impact the execution of processes
* Maintain schedules for updating process documents and engagement of reviewers, subject matter experts and leaders to publish and finalize in a timely manner
* Contribute to repository solutions for storing guidance documentation
In general, a BIC2 is responsible for leading cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives that are larger in scope and complexity. Examples might include, but are not limited to: finance / operational / executive management review coordination, process improvement and redesign, change management initiatives, ongoing oversight of a leadership / diversity / recognition / Q12 or general program oversight. Provides leadership to other consultants and analysts in the integration/implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary. Develops metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives. Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications:
* 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
Desired Qualifications:
* 3+ years of BSA/AML experience
* Experience using Wells Fargo Cornerstone system
* International or wholesale banking operations exposure; preferably within Wells Fargo
* Wholesale banking experience
* Ability to follow written documentation for security events and identified remediation efforts
* Technical Writing experience, preferably in the banking industry
* Knowledge and understanding of technical writing: online documentation
* Knowledge and understanding of technical writing: storage, middleware, or virtualization
* Process documentation experience
* 2+ years of experience producing business process documents, such as process maps and workflows
* Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
