The Director of Provider Recruitment (DPR) reports directly to the VP Human Resources WMG and is a seasoned professional with demonstrated strategic provider recruitment within a large integrated healthcare system.
The DPR oversees the full scope of recruitment for the provider recruitment team and on-boarding. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: oversight of daily operations of selection criteria for provider recruitment, effective screening of providers through behavioral based interviews, hiring practices that support the organization while being compliant with WellStar's policies and employment law, retention strategies, accurate pre-employment screening processes, provider on-boarding and credentialing.
Maintains accurate reports regarding the daily operation of recruitment while measuring the effectiveness of the provider recruitment and on-boarding team's efforts. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and effectively applying that knowledge to maintain compliance that coincide with business objectives.
Serves as a resource and mentor to the Manager Provider On-boarding, Coordinators Provider On-boarding, Provider Recruiters and Coordinators as it relates to employment practices, provider compensation plans, adhering to policies for selection of new hires, post offer requirements, marketing and advertising, etc. Responsible for establishing departmental goals and evaluating performance, while making recommendations on personnel actions by measuring for quality and optimal performance results.
The Director Provider Recruitment is also responsible for establishing a recruitment budget that meets the needs of WMG's growth.
The Director Provider Recruitment is responsible for global or local recruitment projects to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment team.
Develops and maintains effective partnerships internally with all members of the Operations Team, Credentialing Team, Practice Administrators and Senior Leadership.
Serves as positive role model and advocate for WellStar Health System with communications and actions across the system.
Required Minimum Education : Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Marketing or other related discipline from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education is required.
Required Minimum Experience : 5+ years leadership in provider recruitment. Strong knowledge of provider credentialing. Experience within a large health system required.
Required Minimum Certification : FASPR (Fellow of Association of Staff Physician Recruiter) preferred.
Required Minimum Skills : Computer/data entry experience. Ability to communicate with various members of the healthcare team. Ability to use EXCEL, Word and have basic computer operational knowledge. Epic and 3M experience preferred.
