JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Intake Specialist will conduct intake assessments through Interviews with Patients and Families and referral sources to gather Case History, determine appropriate level of care and services needed.

Based on Assessments, create and execute Mental Health/Substance Abuse Treatment Care Plan with Medical Staff.

Arrange further Mental Health and Co-Occurring Treatments as necessary.

Intake Specialist will assist Patients in understanding the nature of their diagnosis and the need for Treatment.

Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for Staff and Patients.

Intake Specialist will maintain Patient Confidentiality at all times.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned to the Intake Specialist as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

LPC-I required.

Current unencumbered state licensure per state requirements.

Must have at least 1 year of prior experience working in a Mental and Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse Treatment, or Co-Occurring Disorders.

Understanding of Inpatient and outpatient mental health and behavioral Health Care, Co-occurring disorders, DSM Criteria, and terminology.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Detail-Oriented with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work independently, as well as in a Team atmosphere.

Ability to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment.

CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
