Position Summary:

We are looking for a Solution Delivery Leader - Corporate Systems to join our team as a key leader in the transformation and growth of our business.

This is a very exciting time to join Welch's and be part of our Information Technology Leadership Team reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer. You will gain significant exposure, building strong relationships across all levels of our company in a very influential role as part of the IT, Finance, HR and Legal Leadership Teams. You will be responsible for the creation of our digital blueprint, technical roadmap and delivery of our transformational growth agenda. You will also be visible and responsible to our Executive Leadership where required for critical IT matters.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

This position is a key member of the IT Leadership Team that provides strategic development, technical design and transformational delivery of our Corporate Systems (Finance, O2C, Human Resources, Legal) Digital agenda. This includes both short and long-term strategies in support of strategic growth and upgrade of our IT organizational capability. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • HR, Finance & Legal IT point of contact
  • Business technology planning
  • Change leadership
  • Portfolio management
  • Project mobilization/management
  • Service delivery assurance
  • Customer satisfaction

Specific activities include:

As part of Finance, HR & Legal Leadership Teams, partner in development of business strategy, requirements and technology solutions in support of business objectives & desired future state

  • Develop and implement the Corporate Systems portion of our Digital IT Roadmap
  • Evaluate, select and lead implementation of industry best practices that may be leveraged to provide new value
  • Develop/evaluate new project requests, selection and prioritization
  • Develop annual IT budget and resource requirements to support business priorities/objectives
  • Ensure approved projects are delivered and provide highest value to the business
  • Identify, recommend and provide proper resourcing (business & IT) and skillsets in order to ensure project success
  • Lead project change management efforts
  • Lead delivery of complex projects to ensure they are on time, within budget and to customer expectations
  • Validate new and existing IT services provided to our customers are optimal and meet ongoing business needs
  • Resolve open issues with appropriate IT service areas owners
  • Provide feedback of services and capabilities provided by IT and as part of the ITLT assist in improving service capabilities provided to the Finance, HR & Legal organizations
  • Lead/manage teams to ensure needs are being met with an enterprise focus
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction, service level agreements and IT improvement plans
  • Responsible for the modernization and migration of Welch's legacy systems environment as part of a cloud first strategy
  • As a key member of Welch's IT Leadership Team assist in the facilitation, development and delivery of Welch's overall transformation, cross functional business opportunities and IT capability improvements related to IT talent, IT process and improved use of technology internal to IT
  • Source, negotiate, implement and support new technologies that provide optimal business value and meet IT requirements
  • Build partnerships with business customers as their trusted adviser
  • Coach team members and provide a collaborative working environment

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability and desire to engage with all functions across the Enterprise to understand and articulate the business requirements as well as the IT capabilities
  • General knowledge of all IT disciplines and technology platforms
  • Knowledge of Project Management Professional (PMP) standards and methodology
  • Ability to influence and lead change across the enterprise at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated broad knowledge of major aspects of IT including project management, systems development, systems analysis and design, and budget administration; with broad exposure and practical experience in IT management
  • Knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations
  • Experience in the design and implementation of key standardize IT processes and methodologies (i.e. ITIL, PMI and SDLC)
  • Promotes and fosters a positive work environment by building relationships across the organization and especially within the IT Team

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10 - 15+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 5 years in a Business facing IT leadership role within a $1.0B - $4.0B business
  • IT management experience in a manufacturing environment demonstrating a proven project and process management skill set
  • Result oriented and customer focused
  • Highly motivated and the ability to influence, execute and lead change
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
  • Strategy and planning: an ability to think and plan over a 12-36 month time span
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent ability to communicate to executive, business and technical levels
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Demonstrates trustworthiness
  • Builds and retains relationships with business and technology colleagues
  • Acts as a salesperson for business needs and technology requirements

  • Desire to learn new skills including: RPA, AI, Machine Learning & Analytics
  • Ability and desire to roll up your sleeves to do all necessary to meet the operational and strategic needs of the business
  • Builds IT solutions to meet the needs of Welch's in the areas of:
    • Finance
    • Order Management
    • HR
    • Legal
    • Corporate Systems integration to Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing, Digital/E-Commerce, Analytics/Reporting, and plant/warehouse automation equipment
