We're looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our team to provide leadership, direction and coaching in order to create a high-performance team in a juice and food ingredient blending/processing environment. This role will be responsible for safety, maintenance, sanitation, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations on their shift(s).
What You'll Do:
- Provide direction and guidance to employees in full shift operations of a juice processing and blending plant. This includes; assigning responsibilities, coordinating work efforts, removing obstacles, monitoring performance and driving for success across full operation.
- Ensure the safety and quality of Welch's products by performing daily reviews of the HACCP and Quality paperwork, maintaining the Master Sanitation Schedule, and ensuring Safe Quality Food standards are met.
- Ensure the safety of our people by maintaining a safe work environment and leading company safety initiatives.
- Participate in internal audits of the facilities and employee GMPs and perform root cause analysis in developing action plans for non-conformance and/or not meeting production targets.
- Lead projects with a focus on optimizing cost, improving productivity, and driving improvements of our preventative maintenance program.
- Other duties & responsibilities as assigned.
Who You Are:
- A proven leader who takes personal responsibility for coaching and developing employees through 1 on 1 meetings and/or group trainings.
- A proactive professional who takes initiative to improve plant performance, GMPs, safety and employee relations to ensure a healthy work environment.
- Autonomous with the ability to act with urgency, embrace and solve ambiguity, and drive for results.
- A team player who has the interpersonal skills to manage relationships within the plant and provide feedback to team members in a respectful manner.
What You'll Need:
- A bachelor's degree in related field (Business, Operations Management, or Engineering) is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least 3+ years of experience in a Food & Beverage manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Preventative maintenance, maintenance planning and program design experience a plus.
- Leadership within a manufacturing environment is preferred, ideally as a Production Supervisor, Processing Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, or other related leadership role.
- Juice blending, pasteurization, concentration and tank storage management a plus.
